Catering Facilities

Food service offers food from 8am until 2pm daily.

There are three food outlets consisting of :

  • Main servery – drum area
  • Grab & Go – drum area
  • Pasta Bar – drum area

The main servery is open from 8am for breakfast offering croissants, pizza, bagels, toast and bacon sandwiches and drinks.

Breaktime is from 10.45am until 11.35am serving a range of items including potato cakes, crumpets, cheese & bacon pizza, waffles once per week, fresh fruit and yoghurt.

Lunchtime starts at 1.15pm until 2pm.  The main servery offers a hot meal of the day, one being vegetarian, the other vegetarian.

The Grab & Go servery serves a selection of takeaway food products including paninis and chicken burgers.

The Pasta bar serves fresh pasta daily with a meat sauce and a vegetarian sauce, along with freshly made sandwiches, salad pots, fresh fruit and drinks.

All the food is freshly prepared daily, catering for all dietary requirements. We are aware of allergens and provide information of allergens on our labelled food products

All our drinks are school compliant.

The menu we offer is on a three week rotation and change seasonally.

We work to provide a nutritious and healthy balanced menu based on food standard guidelines.

Free School Meals

Students are eligible for free school meals if in receipt of the following:

  • Income Support
  • Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  • Support Under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • The Guarantee element of State Pension Credit
  • Child Tax Credit, provided they are not entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual income of £16,190 or less
  • Working Tax Credit ‘run-on’ – the payment someone may receive for a further four weeks after they stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit
  • Universal Credit – In England, if you apply on or after 1 April 2018 your household income must be less than £7400 a year (after tax and not including any benefits you get). If your child is currently eligible for free school meals, they’ll remain eligible until they finish the phase of schooling (primary or secondary) they’re in on 31 March 2022
