IMPORTANT MESSAGE – STUDENT SAFETY

I am incredibly worried about the amount of illegal parking which we are witnessing every afternoon on site. Many parents collecting students from school are ignoring the double yellow lines and safety cones causing major congestion every day. Cars regularly park on the turning circle meaning that the school buses cannot turn, and other vehicles are parked in such a way that passing traffic is forced onto the wrong side of the road. Because of inconsiderate parking, there are sometimes cars four abreast on a road designed for two. Having watched children crossing the road, often through busy traffic, to get to illegally parked cars I have major concerns that it is only a matter of time before we have a serious accident. I am sad to report that some drivers have refused to move when asked, and even been rude to our staff on occasions.
