In this week's edition of Newsflash, Headteacher, Mr Marshall outlines changes to the school week from September 2019 and invites your comments at this time.
At Mossley Hollins High School, each year, we review key aspects of our school provision in order to ensure that your child is provided with the best possible opportunities to achieve success. This year we have undertaken a five-month review of our Curriculum Offer. This school improvement process has taken place against a background of significant national change in education, including the requirement to provide a broad, balanced and rich curriculum which supports both academic and personal development. To balance these demands, it has been necessary for me to assess the current curriculum provided for your child and to plan changes which I believe will provide a future-proofed curriculum, capable of supporting further improvement.
Every student in Years 7-10 has been sent a letter outlining the changes and inviting comment. Please take the time to consider carefully the contents of the letter and submit any comments or observations before 4.00pm on Friday, 5th April 2019. A copy of the letter is available to view on our INSIGHT system.
